How To Delete Windows.old Folder In Windows


If you submit your repair, refresh or upgrade your Windows, you certainly will get a folder named Windows.old or Windows.old.ooo . The folder contains a wide variety of applications as well as your Windows update before upgrading or repair.

If you feel it does not require that folder, you can delete it. Because if left Windows.old folder pretty much takes up space on the hard drive.

- Note - Windows.old folder contains segalam sorts of files, folders, documents in Windows Upgrade or Repair of you before, make sure you've copied the data that you need before you delete the Windows.old folder.

Here is a tutorial delete the Windows.old folder. Tutorial below can be applied in Windows 7, 8 and Windows 10.

1. Open the Disk Cleanup . You do this simply by pressing Windows + R and enter the following command:

cleanmgr


If the window appears as below , you wait a few moments.



 After that you will be given the Disk Cleanup menu display as below. You select Cleanup System Files and then wait a few minutes because the Disk Cleanup will read Windows.old folder .




Well, Disk Cleanup will be able to read the Windows.old folder. You select "Previous Windows Installation (s)" and then click Ok.


And if it appears the window as below, you select the Delete Files and wait until the process is complete. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes, depending on size of Windows.old folder that you have and the speed of your PC.



And now the Windows.old folder in Windows has been deleted, how? very easy right?
